#72 Nuclear Nellie

So daylight saving time? Gimme back my hour of sleep jerk.

Here's Nuclear Nellie. I had a "hurrdeduurh" moment today and drew this lil bugger to get my feeling of how dumb I was feeling down. Then I decided to take him to the next level and he became the monster of the day!

Nuclear Nellie is nuclear waste come to life. He's not the brightest glowing sludge in the landfill, but he's a nice guy. And yes, his name is Nellie. Deal with it. I think he's adorable.

#60

My teacher Dave Chow mentioned he's a big foot fan.
This is revenge for him drawing all of us puking/farting/making alien babies in class :)

#50 Flying Spaghetti Monster

For my Pastafarians, I present, the pasta deity, Flying Spaghetti Monster. To learn what he's all about click {here}.

I would like everyone to know that a) I hit my second goal of 50 monsters! and b) I now have 20 followers which is pretty awesome (tell your friends!). I have about 80 some more monsters left to draw/days until my graduation.

Yes, I've missed a few updates here and there, it's still hard to coordinate my crazy work schedule/my winter sickness/job/life, but I always make it up the next day. I'm usually pretty terrible at keeping goals, but so far, so good on this one :)

Thanks for all the support so far, and like I said, I do suggestions so send them my way!

<3 monster girl,
a.

#44 Moosle Family

The annual family photo at the Moosle household. Moosles are moose people.
The small one is a young Moop (if you don't know who he is, click here!)
His mom's kinda cool, but his dad seems kinda... tough...

40 Le sicky

I have been attacked by the common cold :(. I wasn't feeling up to doing any extra doodling today outside of my work. However, the show must go on, so here's a quickie sicky monster. Yes, he has an air bender tattoo on his head. Deal with it.

Some one get him some cough drops stat!

Also TEN MORE MONSTERS TILL MY NEXT GOAL!!!! CAN SHE DO IT! (Yes, I'm a champion of industry).

#35 Gramzilla

My friend Niki suggested "Bingo Babes" and I had no idea what the hell she meant. However my mind instantly went to the fat grandmas in fishnets i would draw all the time freshman year to gross out my friends. Then I was thinking Gram Gram would be a better solution to Godzilla. Giggles ensued and Gramzilla came to be.

Gram Gram is off her meds! RUN!

My grandma looks hella better than this Gramzilla and would probably just make cookies instead of rampaging.

#30 Dexter

I can't do realistic drawings for beans, but I've been itching to do a doodle of Dexter. Specifically his "dark passenger", who's the inner monster. Dexter has been one of my favorite shows, and I want to read the books. Also I'm grossed out how nasty the red acrylic ink I used looked a lot like blood.

Back with four monsters!

I got back late Sunday and I decided that sleeping off a 3.5-4 hour drive was rather important. I felt very very guilty though.

Since it's MLK day, CCS is closed, meaning I don't have my one class today. So I spent the day playing catch up with monsters.

#17: Blob
Blob monster. Cuz that's how I'm feeling today. His coffee cup is inspired by my good friend Emily's mug that she drags everywhere.

#16 Queen of Hearts
The Queen of Hearts. A very terrifying villainous lady. She's batshit crazy and okay with it. Poor bird thing though. He died from too many croquet games.

I love Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass. If I had a spawn daughter thingy, I'd name her Alice. Those books have been a favorite of mine for a long time. Hated the Tim Burton movie, the costumes were awesome, I'll give him that.

#15 King Polter
King Polter has been appearing in my sketchbook, on various desks around school and in my notes. My friend Will and I started doodle jamming together and King Polter morphed off of the drawings we did. I might see if I can make a neato illustratored version and get it into a sticker.

#14 Snugglemonster
And lastly, Snugglemonster! No, she's not raping the guy...she's just cuddling. You can't get a Snugglemonster off of you, because they just love you soooo much. May or may not be related to Nomster.

Back to normal one a day updates tomorrow! WHOOOO.

Team Schneider.

#13 Creeper

Eeks! A Creeper! His body is mainly black goo and scary things...I hope I don't have him under my bed.

There may or may not be an update tomorrow. I have to drive home to go get an MRI done on my head to check out my noggin. Nothing serious, just migraine stuff. Whoo! I hope they let me have a picture of my brain. I wouldn't be surprised if there was nothing but cotton candy in there.

So since I'll be home, there will be limited art stuff lying around, and sketchy internet. I may just update when I come back Sunday so there will be a double monster doodle day! I would have done one today, but I ended up talking to my teacher for a few hours out of class.

#12 Bonso

My roomate for 2 years came to visit today! Cheryl has been in Paris this last semester (She's been everywhere, except Africa). She's heading out to Walt Disney to lifeguard the sugar high kids at the pool, and to take a few classes there.

Cheryl likes 3 things in this world: Cats, Chocolate and Plants. Maybe her boyfriend, but that's pushing it.

She requested a plant monster, and since she loves a bonsai now and then, I drew a bonsai monster. Bonso. He's cute and tiny and makes oxygen.

woo!

#11 Road Ragester Monster

As I said before, the illustrations aren't always going to be monsters. They can be human monsters or plays on the actual word.

Today's monster is my inner driver monster.

I almost turned into a Road Ragester today. I left my school because we got out of class early to go to a Best Buy that had Macbook chargers, as mine has finally gone kaputz. The place was about 30 minutes away on a good day. But it's Michigan and it's wintertime...so it added another 20 minutes. Got the charger and kicked around Best Buy. It was attached to a mall and I figured I had 5 hours to kill.

I finally left and it had been snowing hardcore. It took me 2 hours to get back. I haven't done serious driving in the snow in four years, let alone during rush hour in a city. There were really rude people on the road and I was trying my best to contain my rage, I figured it was better to focus my energy on driving.

Barely got back with enough time for dinner. I snarfed some food and ran to my room to test the new charger. It didn't work. 3 hours total of driving time for nothing. PIISSSEDDD. I was worried that since it was a charger for the newer computers and not my crusty laptop (it's only 3 years old and still no major problems!).

Went to class, left early and spent an hour looking for troubleshooting ideas. Turns out if you plug the computer in, then turn it off, pop the battery out, pop it back in, the thing will start charging. Thank you apple for not putting that in your instructions. I'm just glad I don't have to drive out, return the thing then go to the apple store. AND I'm glad I was able to charge my computer so I can upload this bad boy.

So I drew the raging monster inside, because it's better to get it out on paper than at some stupid situation you can't control...like snow and other drivers.

Everything is right in the world.

Also fun fact: Today is 1/11/11 i usually don't get too silly about these things but it's also the 11th monster! SO MANY ONES! AAAHH! so 1111111. baller dude.

#10's going back to school

Ah, it's now the first day of the winter semester! Hurrah! It's also my LAST "First Day of School"!!!! I chose to honor this moment, with two kiddy monsters heading back to the grim boring reality of early childhood education. I only got to wait for the school bus for kindergarten and first grade, then I changed schools where there was no bus (I love riding school busses now...I was deprived). I do remember waiting for the bus in the house and then waddling out in my big jacket and snow pants when it pulled up.

Also, I have had this song stuck in my head all day. Bummer I couldn't find a better version of it. Back to School Song

What should be the names of these kiddy monsters?

Workin' it out with #9

*HRRRNKKK*

So on top of doing a monster everyday, I'm doing a nice run every other day. I hate working out. I hate sweating but, I think it's about time I get in shape. Anyhoo. Here's a Batboy. Well, not really bat boy but a bat like boy.

#6 Grunf

Numbah six pipin' hot! Hollah hollah!
Grunf. Not the brightest guy around, but good to have on your volleyball team.

I'm going to continue drawing monsters until I graduate, which is in 125 days. So i'll have a total of 131 if all goes according to plan. But I'll probably have to add a few to get some nice even number. Odd numbers drive me nuts.

Melvin-#5

OMG OMG QUICK UPLOAD.

I ended up staying at my friend's place longer than I thought and quick ran home to do a monster! Oooops!

A pocket monster! Well, not the Pokemon pocket monster, but still a travel sized companion!

So Melvin, he lives in your pocket and takes notes of everything you say, so you can't forget things. He never uses pens so you don't have an inky explosion. I wish I had one so he could write down my ideas, because I forget everything. Oh well.

See you tomorrow!

#4 Nomster!

Here's number four! Nomster! He got his name because of all the noming he does. For those of you who don't know what noming is, it's Interwebs for eating.

Those of you who have seen my dorm mini fridge will recognize him. I drew him on my fridge because it has a dry erase marker surface. Sadly over the past few months he has been slowly erased. Now Nomster lives on forever as Monster Number FOUR!
